DEATH to CyberBullying School Tour Update

The DEATH to CyberBullying tour visited school 391 in the Bronx on October 28th. Thank you to everyone who came out and participated. It is because of the parents, teachers, faculty, staff, and sponsors that we have a chance at beating CyberBullying. We will be travelling to schools across the nation and speaking to students, be sure to check back for all those updates.

Death to Cyber Bullying

Baby TriggyCyber bullying affects many adolescents and teens on a daily basis. Bullying statistics show that cyber bullying is a serious problem among teens. It can lead to anxiety, depression, and suicide. The Cyber bullying Research Center conducted a series of surveys that found these cyber bullying statistics:
-Over 80 percent of teens use a cell phone regularly, making it the most popular form of technology and a common medium for cyber bullying
-About half of young people have experienced some form of cyber bullying, and 10 to 20 percent experience it regularly
-Mean, hurtful comments and spreading rumors are the most common type of cyber bullying
-Girls are at least as likely as boys to be cyber bullies or their victims
-Boys are more likely to be threatened by cyber bullies than girls
-Cyber bullying affects all races
-Cyber bullying victims are more likely to have low self esteem and to consider suicide

It’s time to take a stand, it’s time to say DEATH to Cyber Bullying.

We are going into the schools, we are holding the websites accountable and we are taking our message to Washington D.C. It is time for the websites to be held responsible for their website’s content. We are parents, we are teachers, we are students, we are victims, and we have had enough! It is time to END Cyber Bullying!
